Cabbages!

Andrew has advised me that the cabbage seeds I planted just over a week ago have started to sprout, must be because they are greyhound cabbage! Also that half of the garlics have started to sprout as well (The half I planted might I add :-) ) so I can't wait to see how they and the rest are doing on Saturday!

Website

You will notice I have added a website link on the right...at the moment it is under construction so please bear with me, I'll update on here when it has a few pages added...currently I've only done a rough front page, at least I know the link works!

Last Day!

Well it is my last day at work today! It is going to be strange not having to get up before dawn...although I have a feeling I will be waking up thinking I'm going to be late for work for the first few weeks whilst I adjust!

I won't be heading to PYG (Our shortened name for Pant-y-Gourych) until next Saturday as I have a few things to sort out first. Andrew has been putting a new door on one of the stables, it was the old side door to the house which was replaced with a nice new one last week when we had new windows put in so I'm looking forward to see how he has got on as it was just a hole when I left!

Starting off..

As a way of keeping a record of what we have done/doing so friends, family and anyone else who may be interested on our trials and tribulations of setting up and living our new lifestyle living in an old farmhouse in Wales with a little bit of land!

I will be moving in fully in less than two weeks although A has been there for over six months already ( I decided to start this blog as he has been Nazbaztaging what we have done not everyone we know has a Nazbaztag and of course no pickkies with a Nazbaztag!) To get up to speed some of what we have done so far....a lot of cleaning (house and garden), a lot of painting (just a few rooms to go!) central heating put in...fired by a Rayburn which we are still learning as it has it's own temperament but great food!, halfway through putting raised veg patches in, cleaned out the green house and planted first veg seeds a few days ago! A lot of work making up the track...Forth bridge project!! That is only some of the stuff otherwise you may end up drifting off!
